Xochipilli possesses a conscious groove sound that transcends all boundaries musically - mystically - spiritually - metaphysically. Since 1994, this band has been involved in a variety of art mediums to produce not only a sound of conscientious lyrics in a wide array of musical styles but also to provide its target audience - all culturally, politically, socially, economically, physically, and mentally oppressed indigenous peoples - a vehicle for collective expression and acknowledgement of those cycles and patterns that lead to detriment as opposed to betterment. Consistently evolving and transforming, Xochipilli members commit to a responsibility to its indigenous communities to ensure tha the upliftment of a people is truly holistic. Members center their skills, talents, and social/grassroot networks around their music, which in turn embraces the branches of life - art, history, philosophy, spirituality, dance, science, etc., that flow onto a groove straight into the hearts of all!
